We are glad you decided to visit our new and improved homepage, and hope you find information that might be of interest to you, even if you stumbled upon our website by coincidence. Knowing the pros and cons of the Internet we decided to take a shot at it in 2001. However, with constant development of the band and technology the need for a new website also became obvious. We will do our best to keep the information on this website as accurate, up-to-date and interesting as possible. We tried to provide as much information about Big Band Grosuplje as possible, but due to technical limitations, some things were still impossible to present: The atmosphere and the sounds of a live concert cannot be transformed into digital form. That is why we welcome you to join us at one of our live concerts and taste that magic yourselves. We look forward to meeting you in the future. I.
21st - 27th July, 2008, Kranjska Gora
Traditional summer seminar of Big Band Grosuplje. Smaller groups made of members of the band will perform concerts and jam sessions every evening at various locations of the Slovenian town of Kranjska Gora.
II.
Wednesday, July 23rd, 2008 at 8.30 pm; Kranjska Gora - The market in front of the church
A concert of Big Band Grosuplje as a part of the summer seminar. Kranjska Gora will be echoing beautiful instrumental melodies performed the band in front of the church in the center of the town of Kranjska Gora. Everyone Invited.
III.
Saturday, July 26th, 2008 at 9 pm; Portoroz - the Gulf of Bernardin
A concert of Big Band Grosuplje and several guests: Nuska Drascek, Elda Viler... Some of the greatest popular songs of the history will be performed.
IV.
Friday, August 15th, 2008 at 7.30 pm; Novo mesto - atrium of the bookstore Goga
A concert of a combo Big Band Jazzinty (Big Band Grosuplje and Big Band Krsko). The conductor of the band will be the conductor of Big Band Grosuplje, Igor Lunder, the soloist will be well-known musicians, who will also teach at workshops, the vocalists Judy Niemack in Miles Griffith and the trumpet player Daniel Noesig.
V.
Sunday, August 30th, 2008 at 9 pm; Smartno ob Paki
Big Band Grosuplje featuring a special guest, one of the greatest singers in the history of Slovenian popular music, Elda Viler, will perform at the 2nd summer festival at the House of the young (Hisa mladih) in the town Smartno ob Paki.
